After much trial and error, IRC support, and digging in the PHP, I was able to get host.get to work with an asterisk wildcard (I was initially trying a SQL wildcard, %), only while searchWildcardsEnabled was set to 1. This is rather unclear on the documentation.

I would say that search without wildcards is essentially the same thing as "filter", so the additional boolean is probably unnecessary. If the SQL % wildcard doesn't work, this should probably be made clear.

Of course, I don't know everything about the API and how it works. Is there a reason it is this way?
