java gateway jmx monitoring does not seem to work with openjdk 1.9.0:

Error: Config file not found: /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.9.0-openjdk-1.9.0/jre/conf/management/management.properties

this is likely a java issue, but we should find a solution and document the problem.
