Why:

The simplest explanation would be that we would like to see days be supported unit types like seconds and Zabbix should be able to upconvert those like it does for seconds. There’s a variety of systems/devices types that only report in days and converting days into seconds seems largely counterproductive. IE: A UPS states it’s battery expires on a certain day. It does not provide hours, minutes, or seconds. Converting that to seconds or unixtime still requires storing an artificially large number as you effectively just have to assume/make up the hours, minutes, and seconds.
