We have network discovery rules and discovery accordingly for routers and switches.

All woks fine and everything discovered and added with the hostgroups selected in discovery actions.

Now, we are segregating the routers for different hosts groups and added them manually for our convenience. But, all those manually added host groups are removed automatically after the next discovery cycle. where we lost the configuration.

As understood the discovery actions will update the hosts if any changes are done. This is bothering as we couldn't able to add host groups/other templates for specific devices that are discovered even though we have option to add them manually but they are going to be removed automatically.

For now we have disabled the network discovery as most of the discovery is done. But, its not a best practice.

Can there be an option like check box which meant to stop update operations?? -> this would be a great option though.
