We have a trigger action configured in Zabbix to execute when severity is greater than or equal to Average, and it works as expected. At the same time, there are triggers with severity = Warning for which actions are typically not needed.

However, in some cases, we would like to manually escalate an active problem (from severity Warning to Average or High), if we deem the issue worth investigating further. The goal is for this escalation to trigger the existing action associated with higher severity.

Currently, if we manually change the severity of the trigger, this does not result in the action being executed for the active event.

Is there a supported way to manually escalate an active problem (e.g. changing severity or tagging) in such a way that the relevant action is triggered?
