Steps to reproduce:
- Configure a Map Element of type Host group.
- Assign a Host group and set Problem tags filter (e.g., XYZ = XYZ).
- Navigate to the Map screen where the element is displayed.
- Observe the behavior of hosts within the selected group that are in maintenance.
Result:
- Problem tags filtering works only for problems, not for hosts.
- As a result, the map element still shows hosts in maintenance (see attached screenshots).
- This creates a confusing situation:
-
- The problem filter correctly shows that there is no problem with the given tag.
-
- However, if some hosts in the filtered group are in maintenance, they are still displayed under that map element.
- This is misleading, because the user expects the filter to apply consistently to hosts as well.
Expected:
- The Problem tags filter should also affect hosts within the group, not only problems.
- Ideally, the Problem tags filter should provide options like AND / OR / Custom for advanced filtering.
- When a tag-based filter is applied, both problems and related hosts should respect it.
- This would ensure that hosts in maintenance are not displayed under the map element if they don’t match the filter conditions.
