Basically what Zabbix agent lacks is netcat / telnet / ssh .run commands.

Some server functions may be controllable via local ports and UNIX sockets on local machine or hardware remotely accessible for agent-based machines only in an 'expect' way with just direct socket connect ('nc'), telnet or ssh framing. Currently this requires additional scripting to do and thus this may be extremely handy.
