I would like to request the ability to schedule network discovery rules to run at a specific time of day (e.g., daily at 05:00), instead of relying solely on a fixed Update interval.

Currently, network discovery rules only support interval-based execution (e.g., 1h, 24h) and do not allow defining exact execution times or schedules.

      Use case:
There are two main operational requirements:
      1. Load distribution in sensitive environments
Discovery processes can generate noticeable load (network scans, authentication attempts, device probing). In sensitive or tightly controlled networks, it is important to run these operations during predefined maintenance or off-peak windows to avoid impact.
      2. Operational visibility for NOC teams
When discovery runs at predictable times, NOC operators can more easily correlate events such as authentication failures, network alerts, or access logs with discovery activity. With interval-based execution, discovery timing drifts, making this correlation more difficult.

      Proposed improvement:
Introduce scheduling capabilities for network discovery rules, allowing:

      • Execution at a specific time of day (e.g., 05:00 daily)
      • Optional time windows (e.g., between 01:00-06:00)
      • Potential reuse of existing scheduling mechanisms (e.g., flexible intervals concept, if applicable)

      Benefit:

      • Better control over infrastructure load
      • Improved predictability of discovery execution
      • Easier troubleshooting and correlation of security/network events
      • Alignment with operational policies and maintenance windows
