I would love if there was an option to replace all linked templates/host groups under a host via Actions -> discovery.

Imagine a scenario when I replace a device and I need to update templates and host group. I have this setup right now -> I setuped an action in which I remove host from all host groups and unlink all templates and after that I link the specific host group and templates to it but every discovery action takes a lot of space inside a UI and I have to add a template and host group to it everytime I add a new template or host group.

 

The other downside is that I lose all data populated under items in the previous template. I would love if I could just unlink the template from the host and the data would get deleted after the expiration of the history period so I get an access to the old datafrom the host (also the stuff like ICMP ping would just continue).

 

The current setup is good if I want to create hosts and link templates and host groups to it but its not that good hen I want to automatically replace template/host groups for already created hosts
