Hello Zabbix,

 

For moment I run 7.0.21 zabbix version, and under Alerts > Actions > Service Actions

For services I cannot send notifications/updates/resolves corectly.

Most users have SMS alerts only for Disaster, and if a service is falling gradually, ex:

Average > high > disaster - they will receive the alert (it reached disaster)
And when recovery Disaster > High > ... Resolved (they will receive that the system has been resolved) 

So far so good.

But if the system never reached disaster (they do not care to be informed for anything below disaster. when the system recovers, they receive the SMS with x service has been resolved, but they never get a problem in the first place, so they are informed that something has been fixed that they didn't had any awareness was affected in the first place, as they do not care for bellow disaster.

For example if the system went OK > average > high then back high > average > ok
they receive that SMS that the system has been resolved.

I suggest to fix "notify all involved" to really take care of who was notified from users > media type.

because at the moment notify all involved has no awareness that the system didn't send a notification in the first place.

Service send the notification originally, but media type because of the severity filter, rejects to send the notification (as it should)

but the service part have no clue, so when something resolves he assume to send it also to the original who never was invloved in the first place.
