Currently, Zabbix sends separate email notifications to each recipient defined in an Action.

In large NOC and Operations environments, it is often useful for all recipients to be visible in the same email thread. However, there is currently no option to combine all Action recipients into a single email notification.

Requested feature:

Add an optional setting at the Action or Media Type level that allows Zabbix to generate a single email and populate the SMTP "To" field with all resolved recipient email addresses.

Example:

Current behavior:

Action Recipients:

• User A ([email protected])

• User B ([email protected])

Result:

• Email #1 sent to User A

• Email #2 sent to User B

Requested behavior:

Action Recipients:

• User A ([email protected])

• User B ([email protected])

Result:

• One email generated

• To: [email protected], [email protected]

Benefits:

• Easier incident tracking

• Better visibility of notification recipients

• Improved collaboration during incidents

• Reduced duplicate email threads

• Useful for NOC, Operations and Support teams

Additionally, many organizations use centralized mail systems where creating and managing distribution groups requires involvement from messaging or infrastructure teams.

For operational alerting scenarios, creating and maintaining separate distribution groups for each alert workflow can introduce additional administrative overhead and delays. Having a native Zabbix option to send a single email to all Action recipients would simplify notification management and reduce dependency on external mail system configurations.

This feature should be optional and disabled by default to preserve the current behavior.
