When adding or updating a maintenance period it would be nice to have the option where the server is notified and it can reload the maintenance period(s) to take immediate effect.

If your configuration sync is every 15 minutes or something with large Zabbix instances and you are automating Maintenance periods, you have to always factore in the the delay before the maintenance period is loaded into configuration to take effect.
