I would like to request a new feature for Zabbix dashboards: collapsible rows/sections similar to Grafana rows.
The idea would be to allow multiple dashboard widgets to be grouped inside a named row or section. These rows could be expanded or collapsed, making it much easier to organize and navigate large dashboards containing many widgets.
For example, a dashboard monitoring a PostgreSQL cluster could be organized into sections such as:
- VM Resources
- KeepAlived Status
- Patroni Status
- PostgreSQL Status
- PostgreSQL Metrics
Each section could contain several related widgets and be collapsed when the user does not need to see that information.
This would provide several benefits:
- Better organization of complex dashboards.
- Easier navigation through dashboards with many widgets.
- Less scrolling.
- Ability to logically group widgets by service, component or functionality.
- Users could focus only on the sections relevant to them at a given moment.
The attached screenshot shows an example of this functionality in Grafana, where different groups of panels can be organized into collapsible rows.
I believe this would significantly improve the usability of large Zabbix dashboards, especially in environments where a single dashboard contains monitoring information for multiple components or services.
