Persistent connections between Zabbix server and Zabbix proxy should be introduced to handle cases such as ZBXNEXT-4998. As a result of this development there should be no polling traffic between Zabbix server and Zabbix proxy, at same time when there is task for proxy to execute it will be executed instantly by notifying Zabbix proxy by persistent connection instead of Zabbix proxy continuously polling Zabbix server for tasks. As a result of this development it should be possible to create such configurations where it's possible to create connection but not have any traffic on it for hours or more, for example item being poller every 8 hours would result in data only every 8 hours.

8.0 feature supervisor thread and database connection connection pool, which allows straightforward conversion of trappers from processes to threads, once they are converted to threads they can also share a connection pool that will be introduced as part of this development.
