Good day to one of my favorite dev teams!

I have an idea to propose, cross-host dependent items.

I have come into the situation where I've setup a hostprototype to discovery entities from a central controller and it works well to have Zabbix find and create them.  After they're created I hit a road block, I can't seem to find an easy way to have the created hosts use the items of the host they're created from as master items and so I have to use a separate template that then logs back in to the controller from which the hostprototype is created and then have it use it's own connection to pull stats.  This is a problem because it overloads our controller, and not only that it's inefficient.

 

Can we make it so that host prototypes can reference their master host's data some how?
