It would be nice if Zabbix spread out the item checks. For example, I have a template with over 900 checks. Each check may have a delay interval of one hour (3600s). The behavior of Zabbix seems to be to launch all 900 checks at the same time. For the host being monitored, it may be better to have the load spread out rather than be hit all at once.
