Support more file types by vfs.file.exists

      Please add support for more file types to vfs.file.exist.
      Maybe it could be implemented by a new (optional) parameter using 'test' command's options:

      d -> directory
      e -> any kind of file type
      f -> regular file
      h/L -> symbolic link
      p -> named pile
      S -> socket
      ...
