This small change allows to parse complex date and time values in log files. Standard descriptors with percent sign (man strptime) are used in format definition. For example, format for linux messages/syslog log file "%b %d %H:%M:%S".
There is a small thing in code - when some date/time field is absent, it is filled from current system date/time value.
