Just for my information (for others interested too).
As is currently implemented, Zabbix is designed to monitor devices (hosts, routers etc.). The trend in IT world is moving to cloud infrastructure and monitoring is all about services and less important (altough not trivial) about devices.
Do you plan to rework the core architecture to better suite this kind of monitoring (service would be the root of all objects, linked to applications, then instances of same application, then hosts where the application instances are deployed then connectivity between hosts and network etc. - is kind of "upside down" of the current arhitecture) ?
