We have a MysQL 5.5 database, and we wnat learn if it is possible to create a zabbix alert that will monitor query result that will return a single integer number.

Objective is to capture the record count of a table filed over a period of time so that we can plot that data.

We are requesting for instructions for how to create such alert based on a database query.
