      I would like the ability to create ACLs by node group.

      The purpose is to be able to have a single zabbix server which supports multiple customers, so each customer can see his own services, while the ISP can see all.

      Note, I have not tried zabbix yet but I have an aging xymon (aka hobbit) infrastructure for a client, which I want to replace.
