Is it possible to add media types to triggers?

For example: The standard Linux templates has lots of different items and triggers. What I want is to be able to select for all the CPU items a standard media type. And for all the Memory items another media type. Why? Well, in our company we have different administrator groups. One group is responsible for storage, another group is responsible for performance. So what I want to do is send all alerts about storage to the storage group and all the performance alerts to the performance group. At this moment, all of the alerts are in one single template. And when a host is using this template then all the alerts are going to one group. But I would love to be able to change this. So that's the reason why I'm asking if it is possible to select a media type for each trigger.
