Aesthetical widgets for the screens

It would be really useful to add some small widgets to the screens feature. For example indicator lights, gauges, or LCD like display widgets with customizable labels. Then we could create a sort of control panel with easy indication of whether or not specific services and such are running at a glance. You should also be able to click on them and open menu to go to various related pages.
