I've been thinking about way to test triggers and have 3 possible options I'd like to propose.

1. The first isn't a good one but might be easier to implement: Allow (with a command line parameter, the Zabbix Server to return the results of trigger evaluation to zabbix_sender.

2. Allow commands to be sent directly to the Zabbix Server to test trigger evaluation against specific hosts and items.

3. Create a section in the web interface / item configuration where you can post a fake value which is in turn evaluated with a result given, e.g. a test trigger option.

I know this is vague, there are loads of things I haven't considered etc. but wanted to float the idea as I think it could be useful to be able to test triggers.
