We are using Zabbix to monitor a few thousand servers on our network.
We have a situation whereby 1 monitored host, say 'host1' has an ip address of '1.1.1.1' as it's primary IP. When registered in Zabbix, the IP address of 'host1' would be set to '1.1.1.1' and with the ICMP template, Zabbix will ping this host to check its availability.
We have a large number of hosts, that have a primary ip (1.1.1.1) and several other secondary interfaces, say '1.1.1.2', '1.1.1.3' and '1.1.1.4'.
How can I add additional IP addresses under the same host to be monitored?
host1:-
IP's =
1.1.1.1, (primary)
1.1.1.2,
1.1.1.3,
1.1.1.4
Example, apply template ICMP ping to 'host1' and it will monitor all 4 IP addresses associated with that host.
