When working in larger environments, getting the right elements to display on the screen is often tedious, because of having to find the right host group, select the correct triggers and whatnot.
In many cases it would be very helpful for power users to be able to use regular expressions in all the filters and search functions allover the user interface. Just a few examples:

• global search field
• Problems Page, Regexes should be supported for hosts, (i. e. "^web|db[0-9]+", Applications, Trigger Names, Problems, but also for inventory fields (this would by the way automatically add the currently not existing "does not match something" filter for inventory data
• same for "latest data"
• same for the filters in "Configuration - Hosts", "Configuration - Templates" and so on
• ideally, also the "host group dropdown selector" should have a regex mode (maybe switchable from a real drop down to a regex input box or maybe just a filtering with regex and the ability to then select several found entries)
• Configuration - Actions
• Graphs, Screens, ...
