Hello,
I'm building a template to monitor Fujitsu BX400/900 blade enclosures using SNMP and LLD. As I have 20 enclosures and 360 blades, LLD is very important.
I've found that while I can pick up most metrics relating to blades from the management blades in the chassis, but there are a few metrics which I need to query directly from the iRMC on the blades via their SNMP interfaces.
My feature request is: It would be useful to be able to pull back values via SNMP, for example:
BLADE-MIB::s31SvrIrmcBladeId.1 = INTEGER: 1
BLADE-MIB::s31SvrIrmcDhcpName.1 = STRING: "BLADE-HOSTNAME"
BLADE-MIB::s31SvrIrmcIpAddress.1 = IpAddress: 192.168.1.1
And then to use that information to create a host prototype to create new hosts is a similar way to how VMs are discovered and add them as hosts in their own right.
For example, using the info above, a host would be created as follows:
Host name: BLADE-HOSTNAME
Agent interfaces: 192.168.1.1
SNMP Interfaces: 192.168.1.1
Templates: Added in-line with the prototype configuration
Thanks,
Sean
