For an organization making broad use of maps to enhance documentation, navigating many dozens of maps is cumbersome.  Ideally there would be a browsable hierarchy of maps with some control over how those maps were displayed.

The map tree dashboard widget almost solves this problem, with the exception that you can't actually click on a map to bring up the map.
