Discarding unchanged values is a useful feature but currently, when the value is unchanged but the history or trend storage period is exceeded, the value will be deleted.

This will result in a item without any data visually.

Putting this thread in as a change request instead of a bug report since I dont think is tought of yet. Couldn't find something similar in both projects either.
