Its great that discovery tasks have been split from the poller as often they take longer to perform and can block the pollers from retrieving data points while its discovering.

As some discoveries may take longer that the maximum poller timeout of 30 seconds can we please have a separate configurable option in the ZabbixServer / ZabbixProxy config (DiscoveryTimeout) which can be set to a longer period if required (i.e 5 Minnutes - Obviously if a discovery takes 5 minutes you may run this once per day)

An example for us is when discovering Cisco QOS policies on devices with lots of them takes longer than 30 seconds and we never receive a result. If this change is done this wont be an issue for use and probably others.
