I search a best practice to use Zabbix with hosts with many interfaces. For example, I have two interfaces with icmp/pop, two with icmp/imap and 5 with icmp/80/443.

Today, I make one host per interface to keep the signification of the interface (in the name of the host or in the description), when I have the alert, I know immediately what customer or service is impacted. But if the interfaces had a description (or tags !) in addition to an ip and a dns, I will be able to use zabbix[host,discovery,interfaces] with {#IF.DESC} for example (and applying items and triggers based on the macro filter) and have only one host for many interfaces.

So, without this feature, what's the best conception to monitor one host with idrac or Lilo ? or with several interfaces (with many different services).
