Currently the TELNET agent checks required a username and password, and they expect for a login prompt.
It should be simple and provide even more flexibility to the check to make the username/login prompt optional.
Being telnet used to test many plain-text/CLI protocols, this is a powerful agent-less check which can expand over multiple uses, but not all of them requires a login-prompt.
This would be really useful to monitor some CLI simple applications which doesn't require login like for example Redis, Memcached, ...
