Zabbix template converter supports which coverter zabbix latest version templates to any previous supported version of zabbix. 

1 feature can be or providing a script/module which converts templates. 

Add a feature in zabbix itself which will ask during export :-- In which version of zabbix, this template will be imported. 

This is required from a very long time. Whenever a new version is released, testing starts but production is not tested yet. Those templates needs to be imported again in production after testing in staging. 

while staging is on latest version of zabbix and production is far behind from it. 

This feature can be used after testing in staging and will be useful for further deployments.
