We're using discovery for our systems widely which results in many items per host.

A hyprevisor accessing 28 Disks disks (each about 10 health related items and 20 performance related items) that is hosting 50 VMs (each providing about 30 items) may easily contain more than 2000 items at all. But even smaller systems reach 1000+ items in our setups.

We're having no issues in most sections in zabbix with this setup.

Unfortunately, working with latest data is nearly impossible here because too many items are shown and loading the screen reaches timeouts. 

If the same items are contained in more than one application it seems that these items are even loaded multiple times during loading of the latest data screen.

The only workaround for now is to open latest data for another host, enter filters and change the host before applying filter.

I'm not sure if retrieving data from database is the issue here or processing data in php. From a users perspective it would be nice to have a result limit on the page (still better than reachinga timeout) or the ability for paging on the latest data screen.
