A new item type which reflects trigger states. For example, number of problem triggers for devices with some tag.
Imagine, you have a tag for a customer. Then it would be possible to have an item A that counts the number of "warning" triggers for devices with that tag.
A trigger can monitor this item A, and when there are 5 "warnings", then this trigger would become a warning, if the number increases, the severity of this trigger can rise.
Another use case for this is preventing a storm of calls. Imagine that dependencies are not correctly configured. After all, this is a tedious task. A lot of alerts can fire. Using an alert counter item for all devices of a customer, only one alert will fire, when it counts more than x alerts for this customer. If the amount of alerts drops below a certain number it is resolved.
