I just downloaded latest templates:

• Zabbix server health https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/repos/zabbix/browse/templates/app/zabbix_server/template_app_zabbix_server.yaml
• Zabbix proxy health https://git.zabbix.com/projects/ZBX/repos/zabbix/browse/templates/classic/template_app_remote_zabbix_proxy.yaml

After deployment, there were not supported items per utilization metrics of not running processes. I added preprocessing "Check for not supported value" - "Set value to": 0.

Maybe this could be OOB standard, as when process is not running, its utilization is 0 . Maybe this is a bit dirty, if there may be also other reasons for not supported items .

(I know, it is possible e.g. to disable those items completely, but this may lead to those processes started, but forgotten to enable their monitoring ...)

If this suggestion for change would be accepted, this could also open possibilities also for additional triggers for some of Zabbix server/proxy processes, which are mandatory to be running (having non-zero utilization).
