Currently only two internal metrics left that require a database connection - zabbix[proxy,,lastaccass] and zabbix[proxy,,delay] on server side and one zabbix[proxy_history] on proxy side. I suggest taking data from the configuration cache to calculate them and move all internal items to regular pollers.
