Any specific changes (e.g. disabling the blinking OK triggers) requires a change to the defines.inc.php.
This is not practical, because these changes are being overwritten during upgrades, and you have to keep on changing the file every time you upgrade.

If makes no sense in forcing the user to edit a file, while we have a nice webinterface that could offer the same/similar functionality
