Update: memory crisis will not solve itself soon, use CPU resources as a trade-off to compress in memory configuration and value cache.

Due to the increase in requirements for the configuration cache from version to version due to the new features/options (that's ok ) and ability to set it to quite high values - adding compression can help with hardware management and reduce cost for cloud/container deployments.
