In the "Actions" => "Internal events" section, it's possible to create a notification if the item goes into an unsupported state.
If more items get unsupported, a cascade of email alerts occurs.
This is not ideal - too many emails, most of time about the exact root cause. Some ideas to improve:
- Since the internal events are having tags and tag values, then a solution can be to allow the global correlation engine to correlate internal events too. As a result, there would be a global correlation for problem events and a global correlation for internal events.
- Add extra functionality to send information in bulk. For example: If a host has more than 10 unsupported items, it will trigger to send an email with all unsupported items in the list.
