Some widgets require configuring fixed font sizes in %. It is not always possible to guess the correct font size on the first try. Some widgets are supposed to have sane defaults yet these don't always look alright even on default dashboards. The notable example is a clock widget often showing HH:... in the Global view dashboard. Such widgets should provide Auto option for font sizes.

Please consider adding this feature to Clock, Item value, and Gauge.
