With the heavy migration to systemd, the default logging on many Linux various has moves strictly to systemd journal.

Legacy environment still use syslog forwarding to get the standard /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages, but the future will focus on systemd journal for the source of logging.

Go core already provides libraries functions for querying systemd journal, so adding this to the existing systemd plugin should not be too large of a task.
