Currently, user macros resolve properly when used in tags. Also, macro functions can be used to extract specific values from the incoming data - i.e. {{ITEM.VALUE}.regsub}.
However, if after using a macro function, the value extracted is in the form of a user macro - {$MACRO} - it is counted as a string.

The idea is for these values also to resolve in these specific cases.
