Currently the audit log has only the option to disable internal events.

But it would be nice to configure it in more detail. So it would be possible to disable audit logging for single actions like updating host config (but still log add or delete).

My case: history.push api

I have several automations that calculate some metrics externally and push the data via API into Zabbix. Because it's easier than send it to Zabbix Server/Proxies around the world.
So there are a lot of history.push actions in the log and all of them are useless for me.

I think a selection interface like the permission management for roles would be nice in the audit log configuration to select which events should be stored.
