While having a native Modbus integration in Agent2 is a great step in the right direction, it doesn't solve most of the use cases. The Modbus protocol is often used to monitor OT components where it isn't possible to install an agent (like a PLC for example).

Due to this it would be a major improvement being able to use this integration without the need for an agent. My suggestion would then be to add the integration to the proxy.
