From customer:
"We would like to have more possibilities to search for audit log events based on host IDs. In many cases, it is required to have groupid, itemid, triggerid, maintenanceid, etc., to be able to find relevant information in the audit log. Often, we do not have this information, and therefore, we cannot find the information we need. Moreover, these IDs can only be obtained using the API or from the database.
In some cases, for example, when a host is added to a host group, the information about the hostid is present in "more details," but even in such case it is not possible to find this record based on the hostid.
We would also like to be able to see the following in the audit log:
Macro and tag changes on host, template, item, trigger levels, etc., based on the hostid or host name. Except for the Global User Macros, there is no information about adding, removing, or changing tags on other levels.
An indication that an API was used to perform some action. It seems there is no difference between deleting a host via the web interface and via an API call.
When removing a host, it would be useful to have information about the host name combined with the host ID. Currently, there is only host ID information."
In summary:
Extending the search capabilities based on host ID
Include macro and tag changes on host, item, trigger, template level (also based on hostid or hostname)
include log of API being used to perform changes
Combine host name with host id when showing host removal info
