Description |
On the switch cisco WS-C3850-12S (MIPS) processor (revision L0), Cisco IOS Software [Everest], Catalyst L3 Switch Software (CAT3K_CAA-UNIVERSALK9-M) HotSpot is correctly recognized. Of course it is a different version of system software, but it is still IOS.
EXPECTED RESOLUTION: In the IOS there are thresholds defined and it should be accessible via snmp. Alerts should be related to this values and calculated due to its state. system command >show environement temperature on both models gives the following results: Switch 1: SYSTEM TEMPERATURE is OK Hotspot Temperature Value: 55 Degree Celsius Hotspot Temperature Value: 56 Degree Celsius

Hello Kazimierz,
What do you mean by not recognized? The sensor is not monitored at all? Monitored but not supported? If yes, please show the error.
Do I understand you correctly, you would like to be able, to define thresholds for triggers dynamically from received data? |

Hello Edgars! It looks like it should be - or other macros ( dedicated for various hotspot sensors) ma be defined ( statically) for dedicated use. The second is much simpler to be defined... K |

Hello Kazimierz, Is this issue still valid? |

How was this closed as unable to reproduce? This occurrs on all my 3850 Switches for the temp sensor 2. Did anyone come up with a way to modify the config with different thresholds for sensor 1 and sensor 2?
