You can remove interface only without underlying items. Change all items (for example via mass update) that they use correct interface. Empty interface(s) can be removed now. |

bogus, I tried it first of all: 1) using mass update we have trouble to choose the "correct" interface from the list (see 2.PNG screenshot): 2) anyway, I was able to "free" (and delete thereafter) only 1 interface of 3. After that I had 2 interfaces in the list (like 1.PNG screenshot, but without the 3rd interface): both have the "Remove" link unavailable (disabled). Selection different interface as "default" also does not help. |

Same Problem here. Using "Mass Update" kinda works but is not a good deal. We have hundrets of hosts and all of them have thousands of items. Pre 5.0 - I would have to identify the 2 or 3 items with old/wrong snmp-settings in our template and change these snmp settings in 2 or 3 items of just one template. Then LLD would have done all the magic and thats it. Post 5.0 - I need to "Mass Update" every Item, only 50 Items per page, of every host. Again, these are hundrets of hosts and all of them have thousands of items, thus there are tenthousands of pages I need to manually update. I did this for just one single host and it took about 10 minutes. So "Mass Update" is not part of a realistic solution to this. Is there any elegant way to fix this? Is it possible to fix this with an elegant SQL-Statement? Or any other realistic way? |

Hi! I'm sorry: I'm one of watchers for this issue and one of reporters for version 5.0.x. Thanks in advance! |

Of course, this fix will also be added to the 5.0 branch. We mistakenly did not set this version in the "Fix Version/s" field. Thank you for a comment. |

Issue has been fixed, but still it's impossible to use multiple SNMP interfaces in templates, so the old feature has not been replaced fully. Can you maybe consider adding interface templates to monitoring templates? |
Comment by Alexander Vladishev [ 2020 Oct 28 ] |
Adding interfaces at the template level will not be implemented. |

OK, thanks. Do you plan any improvements in this area to cover some functionalities removed in version 5.0? |
Comment by Alexander Vladishev [ 2020 Oct 29 ] |
Currently we have no plans to implement this functionality. You are welcome to create a ZBXNEXT for it and see community feedback, votes for it. |
