global messaging severities unchecked if profile saved earlier

      have a fresh database, edit your profile, enable messaging checkbox - notice how all severities (& recovery) are enabled. do not save - cancel the operation.
      open the profile again, click 'update'.
      open the profile again, enable messaging checkbox - notice how now all severities are disabled.

      this was an issue a long time ago and was fixed - possibly in ZBX-3874
