Steps to reproduce:
- Create a Proxy Group with multiple proxies
- Create an auto-registration rule using HostMetadata to assign new agents to host group
- Configure agent2 to use Proxy Group IPs and HostMetadata value.
- Start agent2
Result:
Host is auto-registered properly. When moved to a new host group or template is removed, host is re-registered by the auto-registration rule.
Expected:
System is auto-registered and will not be re-registered unless HostMetadata changes.
Thoughts:
With the fact that I never change the agent HostMetadata value, it appears that there is no reason auto-registration should be re-run. This does not occur when using a single proxy configuration.
My belief is the Proxy Group is re-running the auto-registration rule repeatedly because the server believes it's connecting through a new proxy each time.
There needs to be a fix to allow auto-registration through Proxy Groups without it continually updating the host.
